Why I Made This

What is Lustbound actually trying to be?

I want to start with the thing most projects like this never say out loud: I know what genre this is. Lustbound is an adult game. Nobody stumbles onto it by accident. Pretending otherwise would be its own kind of dishonesty, and this whole section exists because I'd rather be honest with you than market at you.

What bothers me about most of the genre isn't the content. It's the contempt. Scenes with no build-up, characters with no interior life, choices that pretend to matter and then don't. The assumption underneath all of it is that you'll take whatever you're given because of what the game is. I think that assumption is wrong, and I think it's why so many of these projects feel disposable.

The explicit parts aren't the reward for sitting through the story. They are the story.

So the rule I set for myself: every scene has to be doing narrative work. If you could cut it and lose nothing about who these people are or what they want from each other, it doesn't belong. That constraint is harder than it sounds and I don't always clear it, but it's the bar.

Why these notes exist

Adult games have a trust problem, and it's mostly self-inflicted. Tags get hidden. Content gets added in an update with no warning. Players buy in, hit something they specifically wanted to avoid, and feel ambushed — and they're right to. That reaction isn't prudishness, it's the correct response to being misled.

So every content tag in this game gets its own page here. What it is, whether it's in Lustbound, whether you can avoid it, and honestly why I made that call. If you decide after reading that this game isn't for you, that's a good outcome. I'd rather lose you here than lose your trust in episode four.

These pages update as the game does. If something changes, it changes here first.
