Corruption
Is corruption the main mechanic?
Core: Central to the story. There is no route around it.
This is the one you can't opt out of. Corruption isn't a side path in Lustbound, it's the shape of the whole thing. If that's a hard no for you, this is the page where you find that out, and I'd rather you find it out now.
But I want to be specific about what I mean, because the tag covers a lot of ground and most of that ground doesn't interest me. I'm not writing a stat bar that ticks up until a character behaves differently. Numbers going up isn't a story.
What corruption means here
It's about the gap between what someone wants and what they'll admit to wanting. Most of these characters are carrying something they haven't said out loud, and the story doesn't install those desires — it removes the reasons they had to keep quiet.
Nobody here becomes someone else. The ones who were performing stop performing.
That wording is deliberate, because the assumption I want to head off is that everyone is secretly the same underneath and enough pressure exposes it. They aren't. What's under the surface is different in each of them, and it isn't automatically worse than the surface. For some of these women the restraint is the real thing rather than a performance — push and you'll find she meant it. It's the same point I make on the NTR page: nobody can be steered into something that was never in her.
Corruption is the spine of this story. It is not a solvent that dissolves everyone it touches.
Which means the protagonist isn't exempt. You don't stand outside the process operating a lever. The choices that change other people change you too, and by the last episode the game is fairly pointed about it.
